How do I wash Hot Sockee? We always recommend to hand wash with mild soap and hang dry. That said we do have many customers that throw Hot Sockee into the washer and tumble dry on low setting with no issues.
-
Why 1.5mm Neoprene? When we created the Hot Sockee we tested many different thickness up to 4mm. We found that the Higher Quality Neoprene in a 1.5mm thickness offered excellent heat retention while offering best fit in a wide variety of shoes and boots. 3mm is just too thick and made our test fitters shoes and boots fit too snuggly which resulted in poor heat retention.
-
Over socks or under socks? We recommend Hot Sockee be worn over socks. We do have many customers that prefer to wear under socks or no socks depending on the environment. Usually no socks is used in your home while wearing slippers, while over socks is best for cold temperatures outdoors.
-
Why measure foot width?Since Hot Sockee is a half sock the entire length is not as important as the width. This is why our shoe sizing chart is only a recommendation.
-
I am not feeling the heat benefit? The number one reason for this is a tight fit. Either Hot Sockee itself is too tight, or the combination of Hot Sockee with your sock is overly snug in your shoe. Try to open your laces or buckles up a bit to adjust. Try different sock combination. If the Hot Sockee is too tight we offer a 100% money back guarantee just for this reason, we want to be sure everyone that makes the purchase gets the correct size. Feet can be tricky and there are many variables. If you are unable to benefit from the Hot Sockee we get it! Please utilize our money back guarantee.

How do I install Sweat Buster?Typically Sweat Buster replaces the brow portion of your helmets foam padding. Optionally you can leave the brow portion of the foam padding in place and use the Sweat Buster on top. We only recommend this with thin foam pads.
-
How do I care for the Sweat Buster? The Sweat Buster is machine washable. Use No Fabric Softener. Low Heat or Air Dry. We recomend to remove the Sweat Buster after every sweaty session, fold in half and wring out sweat. Like any garmet if you continually let the sweat dry after usage it will become funky.
-
I ride almost daily, what is the best Sweat Buster maintenance?"The best thing do do after a sweaty ride is remove the SB, fold in half and wring out. If you have some water available rinse out with fresh water, wring out. Air dry for next usage. If your climate is colder the SB may not dry out comletely within 24 hours, therefore machine dry or bring into home where it is warmer. Like socks, it is best to have a few Sweat Busters and rotate.
-
Are Sweat Busters for Mountain Bikers Only?Heck No! The Sweat Buster fits universally into any shell type helmet, pavement or dirt youll gain comfort and ultimate sweat apsorbtion.
-
Do I need an Original or Skinny Sweat Buster? We always recommend the Original Sweat Buster unless your helmet is already fitting tight or you have very little adjustment remaining.
-
Whats this Mod Kit I all about, do I need one?"Not really needed with newer foam padding. If you have ancient pads it may help keep them togther. the extra velcro coins can come in handy. Here is an ancient vid on the Mod Kit I, no laughing!
-
What is difference between Sweat Buster Worker and Bike? The Worker Model is slightly longer. Material weight and design is identical. The main difference is the Workder Model includes velcro strips that wrap around the harness brow. This is what the Sweat Buster attaches too and makes removal so simple. The straps are double sided velcro with hook on one side and loop on the other. When installing be sure the strap hook (rougher) side is on the outside.
-
I have the Mod Kit II for harness type head gear, how do I use it?"The double sided Velcro loops can wrap around your existing harness padding if its thin enough or you can remove any existing padding. Try with the padding first. Place Velcro loops in the 9 - 3 o'clock range with one centered. Be sure Sweat Buster attaches on all 3 loops. Be sure the HOOK SIDE (rough) of the Velcro loop IS ON THE EXPOSED side. Wrap the Velcro around the harness so it attaches on the opposite side of the harness. Be sure Velcro overlaps the full width of harness for a solid tight connection. Trim as needed. Install Sweat Buster. Adjust as needed.
